“The breakfast in the morning was 10/10, so much choice but why not plump for the full Cornish! We were truly grateful for our hosts local knowledge which helped us find lovely pubs and restaurants during our stay.”

Bed & Breakfast

Bailey Suite

The Bailey Suite consists of an en-suite king room and a linked single room. So, it can sleep three or it’s ideal for couples or sharers who like more space. Please note that the occupant of the single room uses the en-suite off the large room.

The large room features a fabulous wrought iron bed and has nods to the early 20th century with some Arts and Crafts furniture and Rennie Mackintosh touches. It’s painted a gorgeously warm shade of pale lilac inspired by the original colour of the door in the room.

The smaller room is simple and cosy with a 3-ft bed and comfortable chair. It’s a lovely pale bluey green which looks really fresh in the morning light and has the biggest window overlooking the valley down the mid-line of the garden. Both rooms have shutters and curtains, or you can let the morning light pour in.

The Bailey Suite is named after the family who owned the farm from 1929 until 2015. Margaret, the lady who inherited the house and sold it to me, was born in the big room and slept in the small room as a child.

  • “Beautiful rooms full of character. Everything is of the highest quality. Bed was extremely luxurious and comfortable and the en-suite was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and such a huge choice. Fiona and her staff were lovely and so helpful. By far the best B&B I have ever stayed in.”

  • “This is exactly what you want from a B&B; quiet, discreet and simple. The decor of the property is very tasteful and fits well with the character of the house and surrounds. Superb breakfast, Fiona and her sister were excellent hosts. it was very difficult to believe that it had only been open a few months. We'll happily stay again the next time we visit Cornwall.”

  • “A lovely renovated manor house in a most delightful setting, overlooking countryside with deer, and rabbits everywhere especially at night. A really great location for visiting many parts of Cornwall and very stylish decoration - we stayed in the attic room, a sumptuous room with a super comfy bed. Would recommend for a lovely weekend getaway. The full Cornish cooked breakfast was great.”
