Lowenna

Level-access, 1-bedroom property for up to 3 people including wheelchair users.

This is a new eco-friendly, lambswool insulated building on the footprint of an old cow shed. In the old Cornish language Lowenna means joy.

Lowenna has a king-size, en-suite bedroom with the option of using the sofa-bed in the lounge too. The tones are chosen to suit the southern light and the bedroom is a beautiful French Grey. The deck has a lovely view across the valley and the sand-school of the livery stables so you can see the horses being exercised.

It’s designed for everyone including less-mobile guests and assisted wheelchair users. If you have a wheelchair and like to cook this kitchen is for you! The bathroom is also really spacious with a slightly raised loo (with removable frame) and the shower is open with good rails and a seat. The lounge has a super-comfortable riser-recliner as well as the main sofa.

Up to two dogs are welcome at Lowenna subject to our dog policy. The garden area is small but safe with a 3-ft fence.

  • “I really enjoyed my stay at Cusgarne Manor. It is located in a special spot surrounded by beautiful nature. I loved seeing a fox, birds, and a deer walking in the re-wilded area with a lake below the property. It was very peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend it!”

  • “We had a fantastic experience at Cusgarne Manor. When visiting Cornwall the knee-jerk reaction is to book accommodation along the coast. But we found the best of both worlds in a sense here because we could just as easily drive to the north coast of Cornwall as the south coast, from Cusgarne Manor.”

  • “We were overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. So lovingly restored by the friendly Fiona and her sister, to create a perfect country retreat. Furnished with great taste and attention to comfort.”
